<image:title>Swift Moth - HULL</image:title>
<image:caption>The hull shape has been primarily optimised for aerodynamic efficiency, reflecting the fact that the boat spends minimal time in displacement mode. Through a combination of CFD analysis and on-water testing, the final design achieves exceptionally low overall drag by maximising attached airflow across both the topsides and the hull underside — a feature that is particularly critical for upwind performance. The foredeck has been shaped to accelerate airflow over the forward section, feeding clean air directly into the sail decksweeper for improved sail efficiency. Hull volume has been kept to an absolute minimum, while the mid-section has been slightly raised to keep the front bars clear of the water during take-off in larger waves and to increase the effective aspect ratio of the combined hull and sail platform. Constructed from a carbon/foam sandwich with an increased number of internal frames, the hull delivers exceptional stiffness at minimal weight. The shell is available in any colour, complemented by striking clear carbon topsides for a high-performance, visually distinctive finish.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - WINGS</image:title>
<image:caption>The wing frame is a carefully engineered structure that combines lightness, stiffness, and aerodynamic efficiency, while dismantling quickly with just four bolts. The tubes are constructed from pressure-moulded high modulus pre-preg carbon fibre for maximum strength and rigidity. Solid trampolines attach seamlessly to the frame, creating a smooth aerodynamic surface that ensures attached airflow across the entire structure. The trampolines incorporate concealed rope take-up channels, and their thoughtfully designed concave profile reduces mid-wing height, making the deck feel less steep. This enhances handling and comfort without compromising the performance advantage of a high, powerful wing platform.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - CONTROL SYSTEM AND BOWSPRIT</image:title>
<image:caption>The Swift control system is founded on a single guiding principle: fewer linkages means less slop. Our control tubes/rods are engineered with the minimum number of moving parts and linkages, and those that remain are precisely designed to eliminate any play. The result is sharper responsiveness, greater control, and enhanced speed on the water. The main carbon control tube is mounted on the deck floor and incorporates class-standard gearing and bias adjusters for precise foil tuning. The bowsprit is a lightweight carbon tube with a moulded end fitting that houses a titanium wand head, optimising both accuracy and weight. The wand top tube features a custom carbon aerofoil section with an adjustable internal wand, combining aerodynamic efficiency with excellent control.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - REMOVABLE FOREDECK</image:title>
<image:caption>We placed significant emphasis on creating a clean, streamlined appearance. All of the typically exposed components — including control systems and rope take-ups — are neatly concealed beneath a removable clear carbon deck fairing. When removed, this fairing provides straightforward access to all components you may need to adjust or maintain. An access hatch above the main foil allows for pushrod connections, meaning the deck fairing only needs to be removed occasionally via 4 titanium bolts for maintenance tasks. The fairing has been extended well aft to allows for sail end-plate effect, eliminating the need for any additional fairings and preserving the boat’s sleek, efficient profile.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - AERO WING FAIRINGS</image:title>
<image:caption>These components are offered as optional upgrades, though we consider them essential enhancements to the aerodynamic package. The wing fairings, in particular, are precision carbon mouldings that attach with Velcro and neatly cover the majority of the trampoline control lines. By streamlining this typically cluttered area, they guide airflow more efficiently and significantly reduce overall drag which is so crucial for optimising performance.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - TOE-STRAP MOULDINGS</image:title>
<image:caption>This optional upgrade has been developed to minimise the aerodynamic drag typically associated with conventional toe-strap mounts. Our custom carbon-moulded alternative delivers a significantly cleaner aerodynamic profile while maintaining strength and durability. The system is also designed for practicality, allowing the toe-strap to be removed quickly and efficiently via a single titanium bolt. The result is a solution that enhances both performance and ease of maintenance without compromise.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - GANTRY</image:title>
<image:caption>The gantry has been a key area of focus throughout development, as we consider it critical to optimising take-off performance. Our design delivers exceptionally low hydrodynamic drag characteristics, while also incorporating effective water drainage at foiling speeds. This ensures the platform remains as light as possible during the crucial transition into take-off mode. Constructed from a carbon fibre foam sandwich with integrated internal framing, the gantry achieves outstanding stiffness while maintaining minimal weight — providing the structural integrity required for high-performance foiling without unnecessary mass.</image:caption>

<image:title>Swift Moth - HYDROFOILS</image:title>
<image:caption>The hydrofoil package features our proven, race-winning Swift foil range, developed through continuous refinement and on-water validation. Each boat is supplied with our latest-generation metal verticals, engineered to be ultra-thin with reduced chord length for minimised drag and enhanced efficiency. The horizontal range now comprises of five foils: three main horizontals and two rudder horizontals, providing versatility across variety of conditions and sailor weight. Every foil in the Swift range is the result of ongoing development since 2012, driven by a clear objective — to continually push the boundaries of design, materials, and hydrodynamic efficiency in order to maximise performance now and well into the future.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Us - ABOUT DAMIC DESIGN PTY LTD</image:title>
<image:caption>Damic Design was founded by International Moth sailor Luka Damic to deliver high-performance products and services to the sailing community. Our journey in the Moth class began in 2004 and quickly evolved through a series of innovations, including the invention of the retractable wand in 2008, participation in the Scalpel Moth project in 2010, and co-design of the World Championship–winning Macita hydrofoil in 2013. The success of the Macita foil was the catalyst for transforming a small personal project into a global supplier of hydrofoils for Moth sailors. What began as a passion has grown into a full-time, innovation-driven business dedicated to pushing the boundaries of on-water performance. Today, Damic Design has designed and developed two high-performance sailing dinghies currently in production — the Swift Moth and the NextGen 16ft Skiff. In addition, we offer an extensive range of hydrofoils, distribute an exclusive line of Deckgrip products, and provide specialised design and sailing coaching services. At our core, we are committed to enhancing performance, functionality, and the overall sailing experience. We take pride in our ongoing pursuit of innovation and our mission to help sailors “go faster”</image:caption>

<image:title>About Us - Our Key Personel and Partners</image:title>
<image:caption>Luka Damic – Founder & Lead Designer Luka has been immersed in sailing since the age of 14, driven by a lifelong passion for high-performance sailing. His early interest in design and product development led him to complete a tertiary qualification in Industrial Design in 2004. Combining his design expertise with his love of sailing, Luka began his career in the marine industry at CST Composites, contributing to the development of the first reduced-diameter Moth masts, battens, and dinghy fittings. He later co-designed and built the Scalpel Moth in partnership with Marty Johnson of Rocket Surgeon Composites, before gaining valuable experience in product sales during a role at Zhik. Luka expanded his career into sales and leadership, ultimately serving as National Sales Manager in the commercial furniture sector. While he valued the management experience, he was drawn back to a career that combined his design skills, commercial insight, and extensive sailing knowledge — leading to his full-time commitment to Damic Design in 2017. On the water, Luka has maintained an impressive competitive record. Since 2005, he has finished in the top ten at every Australian Moth Championship he has contested, including two third-place finishes and two runner-up positions (2007 and 2019). He is also a seven-time St George Club Champion and a two-time NSW Champion in both the MG14 and International Moth classes. Alexandra Damic – Strategy & Marketing Alexandra brings extensive strategic marketing and sales expertise to Damic Design. With leadership experience at companies such as Mars Wrigley and Blackmores, combined with strong business qualifications, she provides a solid foundation in commercial strategy and operations, playing a key role in shaping the company’s overall direction. An accomplished sailor herself, Alexandra won both the 2018 MG14 Australian and NSW Championships, bringing first-hand competitive sailing experience to the team. Cawthorne Composites – Swift Moth Manufacturing Partner Cawthorne Composites is our primary manufacturing partner and the builder of the Swift Moth. Led by Brad Cawthorne — widely recognised as one of the industry’s leading composite builders — the team brings exceptional expertise in carbon construction. Brad’s deep knowledge of the Moth class, developed since his teenage years, ensures that every build meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, precision, and performance. Cambridge University – Engineering & CFD Collaboration Our innovation efforts are further strengthened through collaboration with Cambridge University, led by Dr. Timos Kipouros. This partnership brings advanced academic insight and finite element analysis expertise to our development process, enhancing the precision and performance of our designs. The relationship was initiated by our colleague George Boussoulas, whose efforts were instrumental in establishing this valuable connection. Together, we combine rigorous engineering data with practical design experience to refine, validate, and advance new ideas. Vaikobi – Apparel Partner Vaikobi is our official clothing partner, and we are proud to collaborate with Pat Langley and Bart Milczarczyk in testing and developing next-generation performance sailing apparel. This partnership enables us to contribute directly to the evolution of high-performance gear, ensuring competitive sailors have access to innovative, functional, and race-ready clothing.</image:caption>
